Michael is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law. Before entering law school, he earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with Distinction from the Haskayne School of Business, where he completed the Co-operative Education Program and made the Dean’s List.

Prior to law school, Michael worked in financial compliance and risk management, where he investigated cryptocurrency and fiat transactions, prepared regulatory reports, and conducted due diligence on corporate clients. He also analyzed credit risk data, streamlined internal reporting systems, and managed bankruptcy and insolvency processes, developing a strong foundation in commercial analysis and regulatory oversight.

Michael’s interests in law lie in commercial transactions, banking, and litigation, which reflect his professional background and his passion for the intersection of business and law.

Outside of work and study, Michael is a dedicated athlete, training six days a week for over a decade, and a lifelong learner who enjoys reading, team sports, and following combat sports.
